As you know, Amazon is a shopper's marketplace and a VERY powerful search engine for products of all kinds, especially books.
Now, you're probably saying to yourself, "Yes, I know on Amazon, but how do I get my share of traffic from Amazon?"
Well, I'll answer this question in a few moments, but first, here are just some of the benefits you will receive once you "set up" what I am about to show you:
- you will position yourself as an Expert within your niche
- you will receive highly targeted traffic to your website
- you will be able to create a HIGHLY specific 'Opt-In' list
These are some pretty powerful benefits, don't you think?
And who would have thought that Amazon could deliver it to you. I recently learned about this tactic from a well-known internet marketer who was kind enough to share it with me.

Enough Said, Let's Get Started.
Step 1. Set Up A Account With Amazon.
This is the easiest part of the whole task. Simply go to http://www.amazon.com and set up an account for yourself.
This should only take a few minutes and is very straight forward.
Step #2. Click On The "Your Name" Shop Tab.
After setting up your account, you should have received a password to log into your account.
If You Are Not Logged In Yet, Log In Now.
Now within the members area there should be a row of tabs at the top of the members area, click on the one that says "Your Name" Store (eg "Corys Store" tab). This will take you to a different area with a different submenu.
Click on the submenu tab that says "About your area".
Step 3. Configure your "About You Area".
Now this is where you need to pay "Special Attention" because this is what people will see when they click on the "About You" tab. Assuming you are in the "About You" area, you will notice that you have places available to enter your photo, name, nickname, email address, real name and About me.
Please go ahead and complete all areas to accept your "Personal Information".
The "Personal Information" point is what I'm going to talk about in the next step, but for now, fill in all the other areas and if you want to put a picture of yourself, you can, it's up to you.
Step 4. Configure the "Personal Information" Section.
This is probably the most important part of the whole process because this is where your prospect will read who you are and what you and your business are about, so take it seriously. You now have about 4,000 characters of space to write a description of who you are and what your business is about, so it's up to you to decide how long you want your description to be.
Before you start writing your description, here's what to do First within the first 70-80 characters of the "Personal Information" description and I'll show you an example of what mine looks like so you can see it in action.
(ex. about me: Hi, I'm Cory Threlfall and I'm the editor / publisher of 'www.internetwondersezine.com', which is a ...)
Do You See What I've Done?
I put my "Domain Name" in quotes in the first 70-80 characters of my description so that when they click "About me" and read my profile, they will also see my domain name and if they want to find it For more information about me, they can "Copy and Paste or Type" my domain into the browser which will then take them to my website where they can "Subscribe" to my newsletter or read my sales copy which will then take them to Opt- To my newsletter. This is where "list building" begins from the traffic sent through Amazon.
Now, we have established that Amazon is a high traffic website and now that you have set up your "About Me Area" as I described above, I will now show you how to drive traffic from Amazon to your website.
Step # 5. Drive Traffic From Amazon To Your Website.
This is where the fun begins. And once you see how it's done, you'll probably kick your ass like I did when they showed me how to do it.
What we need to do now is a little exercise so that you can see for yourself how you'll be leveraging Amazon's traffic.
So, we know that Amazon is best known for books, so click on the "Books" tab within the Amazon members area. This will take you to a different page.
In the upper left corner you will see a "Find Books" search box. Now, for the purposes of this exercise, just so we're on the same page, let's use "internet marketing" as a search term.
So Go Ahead And Type It And Press GO !.
You should now see a series of book listings related to "Internet marketing".
Scroll down and select the "33 days to make money online" link. This will take you to the product description page. Within this product description page, you will find product details, editorial reviews, and most importantly, all customer reviews.
Note that I said "and most importantly, all customer reviews".
That's right, all you have to do is "Write Reviews" on the books within your particular niche and when potential customers are checking the book you wrote the review on and scroll down and read your review and click on the your name to see what they're all about, guess what they'll see?
They will see your profile with your name, nickname, email address and your "Personal Information" description with your domain name yelling at them which can be easily typed into their browser.
